Hollywood Ignores Avalanche of Pro-Kavanaugh Facts

brett kavanaugh amy schumer facts

Here we go again.

Once more the Hollywood elite are rallying to savage Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. They tried it last year during his heated confirmation process. Stars like Amy Schumer and Emily Ratajkowski even got themselves arrested while protesting Kavanaugh’s ascension.

Why?

They claimed, despite the flimsiest “evidence” possible, Kavanaugh was a serial sexual predator.

“A vote for Kavanaugh is a vote saying women don’t matter,” said Schumer, who never said a syllable when a credibly accused rapist, President Bill Clinton, nearly returned to the White House three years ago as the First Husband.

So when The New York Times, an activist media organ, published a story over the weekend about a new sexually-charged allegation against Kavanaugh stars pounced.

Oscar winner Patricia Arquette, George Takei (pronounced TaKAY), Jeffrey Wright, Josh Gad, Rob Reiner, Debra Messing, Rob Delaney, Michael Ian Black and Rosie O’Donnell raged on Twitter, demanding Kavanaugh’s impeachment.

Only the New York Times bombshell imploded in under 24 hours.

Turns out the woman at the heart of the story won’t discuss it, but her friends say she has no recollection of the incident. Plus, the person making the claim is a former Clinton lawyer – Max Stier – meaning he has a clear partisan reason for coming forward.

Both details were ignored in the initial New York Times reportage. A follow-up “correction” helped, but the report itself should be removed. It’s journalistic malpractice of the highest order, or another day in the life of the modern New York Times.

Did the stars know this? Will they rescind their impeachment demands?

Unlikely.

Besides, it’s just part of a growing pile of facts these celebrities ignore, willingly or otherwise, to smite Kavanaugh and, indirectly, the president who appointed him.

Consider Christine Blasey Ford. She started the 2018 media frenzy when she claimed Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her more than 30 years ago. She couldn’t back up basic facts tied to the event, though.

The Federalist breaks down the many issues with her allegation.

She offered no proof that she and Kavanaugh had ever even met. She couldn’t remember where it happened, when it happened, or how she arrived at or departed from the party. None of the four alleged witnesses she eventually named, including one of her closest lifelong friends, corroborated her accusations. Prior to airing her allegations with the media, she scrubbed her entire social media history that indicated she was a liberal activist.

That hardly helped. Her problems intensified after she told the Senate Judiciary Committee her fear of flying would delay the investigation. We later learned she flies routinely without incident.

More recently, we discovered Ford’s own father supported Kavanaugh’s nomination and expressed that fact to the future Supreme Court justice’s father. Plus, that lifelong Ford friend referenced earlier, Leland Keyser, said she not only wasn’t there in the night in question she has no faith in Ford’s story.

The liberal media narrative surrounding Ford’s testimony remained consistent. She had nothing to gain for coming forward.

Except Ford’s own lawyer was caught on tape saying she had a political ax to grind against the nomination.

As for Deborah Ramirez, the second Kavanaugh accuser, National Review shreds her story in one succinct paragraph.

Deborah Ramirez is the Yale classmate of Kavanaugh’s who now claims that Kavanaugh exposed himself as a college freshman at a party. Ramirez’s claim was already dubious because (1) named eyewitnesses deny the allegation and (2) Ramirez herself wasn’t sure in recent weeks if Kavanaugh had done what she now alleges. “Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself,” the New York Times reported. Ramirez was only willing to make the allegation, the New Yorker reported, after “six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney.”

Needless to say no media outlet, beyond conservative organs, will challenge these stars on the aforementioned facts. It’s partly why they say what they say. Reporters regurgitate their talking points to lend them as much gravitas as possible.

And, even when the news story that sparked their rage gets debunked in spectacular fashion, they prefer to let the lie marinate in the court of public opinion.

After all, this vulgar tweet is still live.
