Chicken pie || Italian Recipe

The chicken pie is a savory pie made with a homemade dough stuffed 
with a filling composed of many ingredients. 
The chicken is the main ingredient , mixed with almonds, pistachios
 and capers with in addition an aromatic herb such as parsley and
 lemon peel . 
The result translates into a filling with a full flavor. 
A second meat based dish that requires a fairly long production time
as often happens with regional recipes of our gastronomic tradition. 

Note:To make this recipe, you also need the chicken broth recipe, which helps the chicken to cook early on. But it can also be replaced with vegetable broth .

For filling You may need 
(1) 800 g of chopped chicken 
(2)  1/2 liter of broth
(3) 2 eggs 
(4) 60 g of peeled pistachios
(5) 60 g of almonds 
(7) 100 g of fresh breadcrumbs 
(8) 2 or 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley
(9) 1 or 2 tablespoons capers 
(10) 60 g of juice lemon
(11) zest lemon
(12) olive oil 
(13) salt 
(14) pepper
 For the Dough
(1) 300 g flour 
(2) sugar 70 g 
(3) 90 g butter 
(4) 60 lard g 
(5) 2 eggs 
(6) Marsala

Now Start

(1)Prepare the filling of the chicken pie: in a saucepan, heat three
 tablespoons of oil and brown the chicken, sprinkle it with a 
deciliter of warm broth and continue cooking adding,
 if necessary, a little broth at a time. When cooked, about 40 minutes,
 remove the pan from the heat, let the chicken cool, bone it, 
fillet it very carefully.
 (2)Lightly toast pistachios and almonds, then chop both coarsely.
 In a bowl pour the remaining broth, soak the bread, the dried fruit,
 the eggs, the parsley, the capers and the grated lemon juice and peel, 
the meat of the chicken, mix carefully, season with salt and pepper. 
Meanwhile, prepare the dough: mix the ingredients indicated using
 a single egg until you obtain a homogeneous mass, roll it out into
 two disks, one larger than the other. Line a cake pan
 (about 24 cm in diameter) with baking paper and butter the sides.
 Lay down the largest pasta disk.
(3)Distribute the filling and cover it with the other disc. On the surface
 applied decorations made from the scraps of the dough and brush with
 the remaining egg.
(4)Bake in a hot oven at 180 ° for about 45 minutes. Withdraw,
 let the chicken pie rest for 5 minutes and serve.
